Chocolate Fudge

3   cups Nestle chocolate chips

3   tbs butter

1   can Eagle brand milk

Note: a cup of chocolate chips 5.5 ounces.

 

Mix in microwavable bowl and microwave for one minute.

 

Take out and stir.  If it's melted enough, then take it out.  If not, put back into microwave for 30 seconds at a time.

 

When it is smooth, add one or two cups of chopped nuts.  Stir it up and put it in a buttered glass dish and put in refrigerator for one hour.  Take it out and cut up into squares.

 

Don's comments:

 

I tried making the fudge in a 9-inch by 9-inch, square Pyrex  dish instead of putting the ingredients in a round Pyrex bowl and then transferring it to the 9 by 9 dish when it was done.  I put the 9 by 9 dish in the microwave.  It worked just great.  No need to put butter in the  9 by 9 dish because the candy is going to stick anyway.
